Flight Termination System Flexible Confined Detonating Cord-Live (FCDC)
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a firm fixed price (FFP) contract to procure 12 Flexible Confined Detonating Cord-Live (FCDC) with an option to procure 6 additional FCDC at time of award to UTC Aerospace Systems, 3530 Branscombe Road, Fairfield, CA 94533. The Government does not own specifications or drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to procure the above listed items under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. ), UTC Aerospace Systems, Fairfield, CA is the only known source with the knowledge, experience and technical data necessary to provide the required items. Firms that recognize and provide these items are encouraged to identify themselves. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
