FlexTrain Multi-Mission Instrumentation System
This is a presolicitation notice in accordance with Federal Acqusition Regulation 5.204 to publicize the planned sole source procurement for FlexTrain Multi-Mission Instrumentation System hardware and Orion Software Licensing.
The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Orlando, FL intends to solicit and award a sole source commercial item contract under the authority of 10.USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 - Only one Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
The proposed source is Ravenswood Solutions, Incorporated of Fremont, CA 94539, CAGE Code 7CXJ6. Ravenswood designed and developed the FlexTrain System and system software and is the only known manufacturing source capable of meeting the Government's technical requirements for the associated items. The Government does not possess the Antares and FlexTrain Transport object models embedded within the Orion software, as it is exclusively-owned by and propriatery to Ravenswood, Inc.
The applicable NAICS Code and size standard for this acquisition is 334220 - Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing and 1,250 employees.
