Professional design and engineering services to provide preparation of planning, design and construction documents for the upgrade and refurbishment of the following lifesaving systems: lifeboats, their davits and cradles; service / work boats, their davits and cradles; rescue boats, their davits and cradles; means of rescue equipment; liferafts and supporting structural, electrical and hydraulic supporting systems. Replacement is expected and desired to keep installations similar across as many vessels as practical. Alternative strategies for Lifesaving Equipment scenarios shall be considered to meet regulatory requirements while keeping in mind recurring maintenance costs and availability, cost of repair and cost of replacement parts and the availability and location of qualified technicians.
