Firehouse Improvements
This project will require the Consultant to investigate and prepare a detailed report of the existing conditions and deficiencies of both firehouses, with an emphasis on the structural damage caused by the buildings settling; determine the feasibility of keeping the firehouses operational during the project; prepare a plan of repairs; and administer the construction contract. The Consultant is to provide architectural and engineering services from investigation through construction administration. See the Engineering Report (Appendix A) dated October 2007, and the Architectural Report (Appendix B) to assist in the investigation phase. The project should not be phased, but the Consultant is to determine if phased construction is in the Citys best interests.
