Firefighting Simulation and Training Structures
City Department of Parks is soliciting statements of interest from
manufacturers or vendors of firefighting simulation and training structures for the purchase of the
following two fire training items:
1. Live Fire Attack and Training Facility. This will be a modular L-shaped corridor constructed from modified shipping containers which will be added to the fire department's existing fire practice tower. The unit will include specially designed doors, windows, and hatches and other specialized features as required. Total footprint will be approximately 480 sf.
2. Flashover Simulator. This device, also constructed from highly modified shipping containers, is designed to demonstrate the effects of a fire flashover to trainees.
