Upgrade/Repair V-180 VIRTRA System
Synopsis:
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. THIS IS A SYNOPSIS OF A PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION. The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI) intends to award a sole source purchase order in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1): only one source reasonably available. This acquisition is in support of the U.S. Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC), 834th Transportation Battalion (TB) requirement for the VIRTRA Firearms Training Simulator System Repair and Upgrades at the Military Ocean Terminal Concord (MOTCO), California. The contractor shall reinstall the simulator with new components and training for up to six (6) staff members. The V-180 upgrades include: new computers, new projectors, and computer rack, a new Instructor Station including monitors, keyboard and mouse, tracking systems, UPS, updated operating system and a complete base library system. Contractor is to provide four (4) additional years of Service Warranty, which provides for Telephone Support, Remote Assistance, Labor, Parts, Travel, Software Updates, and annual service and maintenance visits from VIRTRA technicians.
