Fire Station Alerting System
The City, acting through its Fire Department, submits this technical Request For Information and invites qualified consultants to furnish and install hardware, software and provide implementation services for a Fire Station Alerting System (FSAS) to be designed and installed in each of the Department's 35 Fire Stations and fully integrated with the City's new Intergraph Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system upgrade.
It is anticipated that the information provided by the Consultant will include, but not be limited to the following: support of the 911 system by quickly and efficiently alerting fire fighters while in their firehouse.
It is anticipated that this project, in conjunction with the implementation of a new CAD system, will reduce the time needed to dispatch fire resources, thereby increasing the safety of both fire fighters and the general public.
This System will provide command and control at all 35 fire stations in any alarm situation requiring fire station emergency personnel response.
