Fire Sprinkler Inspections
An annual sprinkler system inspection shall be conducted at each facility during the month indicated below. Backflow preventers shall be inspected and tested during the annual inspection. In addition, 5-year inspections are to be completed on a rotational basis, with approximately 20% of the facilities (normally about 10 facilities) being inspected each year. The 5-year inspection must also fulfill all the requirements of the annual inspection. Therefore, no annual inspection is required for the year in which the 5-year inspection is completed for the specific facility.
