Fire Fighter High Blood Pressure Initiative
The goal of the Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke Program Fire Fighter High Blood Pressure Initiative is to decrease/reduce firefighters increased prevalence of high blood pressure and increased mortality from cardiovascular disease. The contractor shall utilize provided and approved educational materials specific to the firefighter population to focus on changing firefighter behavior regarding self-monitoring of their blood pressure on a regular basis and to take actions to prevent and control high blood pressure.
