Fire Control (FC) Risk Mitigation and Investigations
The contractor shall perform efforts in accordance with OD 61988, in order to mitigate risks in the FC development, production, and support programs. These efforts shall include commonality investigations and unexpected emergent development and manufacturing tasks which directly support the Fire Control Program.
Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS) Pittsfield, MA. GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the United States and United Kingdom TRIDENT (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability to perform the required effort.
