In accordance with Georgia Law on Local Government Audits, O.C.G.A. 36-81-7, the City requires an independent annual audit. The City is therefore issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to establish a contract for the professional services of a qualified Certified Public Accountant (the auditor) for financial and compliance audits performed in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS) as set forth by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and performed in accordance with generally accepted government auditing standards (GAGAS) issued by the Comptroller General of the United States.
