The US Army, Army Contracting Command, New Jersey on behalf of Special Operations Joint Task Force is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources for the procurement of Field Service Representative Support for the XM905 Advanced Mortar Protection System (AMPS). The AMPS is a dismounted 120mm smoothbore recoiling mortar system which utilizes the Recoiling Mortar System 6-Light (RMS6-L) Mortar system. The AMPS is capable of laying on a target using electronic motors and encoders. This drive system works in conjunction with Digital Fire Control to aim the weapon at a user-designated target.

Scope: The contractor shall provide two (2) Field Service Representative (FSRs) to provide training, installation, and maintenance for AMPS at various Combat Outposts (COPs) and Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) within Iraq, Turkey, and Jordan in support of Special Operation Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve. FSRs shall be fully trained in operations and maintenance of AMPS.


Security Requirements: Contracting personnel will require Secret Security Clearance at time of proposal submission and maintain that level of security for the life of the contract. The contractor will be responsible for safeguarding classified information and classified materials for obtaining and verifying personnel security clearances, for verifying security clearances and indoctrination of visitors, for controlling access to restricted areas, for protecting government property, and for the security of automated and non-automated management information systems. The contractor's management system shall prevent unauthorized disclosure of classified and sensitive unclassified information.

This is a sources sought notice only and should not be construed as a Request for Proposal or a commitment by the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey. Offerors are directed to NOT submit proposals at this time. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicitation notice will be published and more detailed technical requirements will be provided.
