Field Operations Modular Wastewater Treatment Systems
The United Nations is seeking Expressions of Interest from reputable manufacturers, authorized dealers
and distributors of Wastewater Treatment Systems. The systems shall be capable of continuously handling
and treating all domestic sewage and sullage to environmentally acceptable disposal standards on one
hand, as well as treating the effluent for non-potable domestic re-use on the other hand. The units will be
designed to internationally acceptable dimensions and will be robust enough to withstand transportation,
installation and operational requirements of the UN Field Missions. The systems will be of modular type, for
compatibility, mobility and the possibility of increasing capacity by duplicating the units in case of higher
effluent discharges. Typical septic holding capacity will be 20,000 liters and effluent treatment flow rate of
30,000 liters per day.
