PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION
The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements for the production of FDECUs NSNs: 4120-00-483-2880, 4120-01-543-0741 for USAF usage. If a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) unit is not identified this will be a developmental acquisition. Our acquisition strategy is a five-year contract (basic plus four option years) and will continue through CY2024. The projected quantities will be for a total between 800 and 1000, with a monthly production in accordance with best commercial practices.
The FDECU is a deployable air conditioner providing conditioned air flow to provide environmental control for shelters, radar sites and other applications.
