This project involves constructing fences around three research plots (called core plots), each
approximately 50 acres in size.
The total length of fence to be constructed for this project is approximately 16,200 feet (3.07 miles).
Fencelines surrounding the core plots have not been cleared of any debris, brush, or trees. Portions of
the mechanical core plot fence will pass through rather dense areas of cut trees that will need to be
cleared in order to construct the fence. Other fence lines will pass through a mix of sagebrush
shrublands and low to high density pinyon-juniper woodlands. One gate will need to be constructed
across the two-track road leading into each the control plot.
