Feed Ohio: Summer Food Service Program Support Grant
The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) releases this Request for Grant Applications (RFGA): R-89-21-8033, on behalf of the Governors Office of Faith Based and Community Initiatives (GOFBCI) in an effort to reduce childhood hunger and increase the number of youth engaged in summer learning and enrichment programs in Ohio. Multiple grant awards will be made to eligible organizations who meet the requirements of this RFGA for the program herein referred to as Feed Ohio. These eligible organizations include faith-based organizations, community organizations, school districts, recreation centers and other organizations that were also approved SFSP sponsors during the summer of 2009. Feed Ohio grants will enable approved 2009 Ohio Department of Education (ODE) SFSP sponsors to establish new sites and strengthen infrastructure and programming at existing sites in communities throughout the state during the summer of 2010.
