Feasibility Study and Implementation Plan
The County of Imperial Department of Public Works is requesting Statements of Qualifications
(SOQs) from qualified firms in connection with the seismic retrofit and rehabilitation or replacement
evaluation of the Forrester Road Bridge at Westside Main Canal. The County is seeking highly
experienced engineering firms with a strong bridge design background. The intent of the Feasibility
Study and Implementation Plan is to analyze for a seismic retrofit, rehabilitate and widen the
existing bridge and bring it to current standards along the existing alignment. The possibility also
exists that it may be more cost effective to replace the structure rather than performing seismic
retrofit and rehabilitation which must also be addressed in this study plan. The County is developing
this project as a federally funded project.
