The United States Agency for International Development (USAID in Moldova is currently planning a Feasibility Assessment that will review the feasibility of investment into the local heat and power generation to improve the energy supply security and thus ensure conditions for economic development of the country. The assessment will review local high efficiency gas-fired combined heat and power generation capacity to increase security of electricity supply, diversify sources and to provide reliable high efficiency heat source for the Chisinau District Heating (DH) system. The acquisition will be a multiple year effort. USAID/Moldova anticipates a need for these services for a period of up to two years, which is inclusive of a Pre-Feasibility study and possibly a Detail Feasibility Study.
