The goal of the Program is to reduce the prevalence of falls and the
morbidity and mortality associated with falls among Montanans. To address this goal, the Fall Prevention
Project aims to:
- Provide access to an integrated evidence-based fall prevention program called Stepping On to older
adults.
- Train a core group of professionals to provide Stepping On courses.
- Evaluate the Stepping On program to determine its effectiveness for decreasing falls among older
adults living.
Sites will be selected to pilot this project with the intention of translating the Stepping On research into
practice.
