F-16 Night Vision Instrumentation System (NVIS) Faceplates
The purpose of this Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) is to identify potential sources and if this effort can be competitive or a Small Business Set-Aside. This is a SSS for market research purposes ONLY. This SSS does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. The Wright-Patterson AFB is requesting information regarding capability to fabricate the Night Vision Instrumentation System (NVIS) panel with 5 each panels delivered no later than 1 Aug 2018 using the required technical drawing supporting NVIS required criteria and the ability to produce multiple sizes that accommodate various F-16 programs as needed throughout the contract period of performance. This is a build to specification effort. No solicitation is available at this time. This SSS does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. This SSS is open to all types of businesses including small businesses.
The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 336413 Other Aircraft Parts and auxiliary Equipment, which has a corresponding Size Standard of 1,250 employees. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement, however, our intent is to award a Firm Fixed Price best value contract with possible quantity options. The Government is interested in all businesses to include Small Businesses, Small Disadvantaged Businesses, 8(a), Veteran Owned Small Businesses, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, HUBZone Small Businesses, and Women-Owned Small Business concerns. The government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your small business status to the identified NAICS code.
