1. NOTICE: This is not a solicitation, but rather a Request for Information (RFI), and is a follow-up RFI to a Sources Sought posted on 17 Dec 2013 (FA8232-14-R-MWS).

1.1 The purpose of this RFI is to conduct market research for the proposed US Air Force requirement for the F-16 Missile Warning System (MWS). This RFI is a follow-on activity for the previous Industry Day event referenced at this link:
https://www.fbo.gov/spg/USAF/AFMC/OOALC/Results_F-16_Missile_Warning_System_Industry_Day/listing.html.
Please review the information contained at that address for more background details on the program.

2. Information Requested:

2.1 AFLCMC/WWMPA F-16 Integration Section, Hill AFB, UT is seeking top-level design drawings (including CAD drawings) and/or related information that demonstrate proposed MWS sensors and processor(s) as installed in F-16 Pylon Integrated Dispenser System Universal (PIDSU or PIDS+) pylons. The Royal Danish Air Force (RDAF) and the Royal Norwegian Air Force (RNoAF) have already acquired and fielded F-16 MWS/PIDS+ systems, including AAR-60 MILDS-F sensors designed and manufactured by Airbus/Cassidian, Germany. PIDSU and PIDS+ were designed and manufactured by Terma A/S, Denmark.

AFLCMC/WWMPA is particularly interested in any changes or differences (aerodynamics, sensor placement, sensor pointing angles, system weight, center of gravity, changes to pylon outer mold lines, etc.) in each vendor's proposed MWS from the currently fielded RDAF and RNoAF F-16 MWS. Vendors may also wish to show the relationship between sensor placement alternatives and MWS coverage area (e.g. 4π steradian coverage).

All material or data received in response to this RFI will be protected as proprietary information.

All submissions will be provided at no cost to the Government.
