After conducting extensive market research, it has been determined to be in the best interest of the Government to procure hopper maintenance dredging in the Mississippi River - Southwest Pass, Louisiana and Gulfport Harbor Bar Channel, Mississippi only, at an hourly rate; removing Sabine-Naches Waterway Outer Bar & Bank, Texas from the requirement. The following acquisition milestones presented during Industry Day are still accurate:

~21 Oct - Solicitation
~20 Nov - Bid Opening
~20 Dec - Contract Award
~05 Feb - Notice to Proceed (NTP)
~15-29 Feb - Performance Start
The solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) with resulting award as a firm fixed price "C" type contract. This procurement will be solicited unrestricted under NAICS Code 237990 with a size standard of $30,000,000.00.
Additionally, the New Orleans District will procure a second hopper dredge for Mississippi River - Southwest Pass, Louisiana by amending their FY20 Hopper Dredge solicitation. This amendment will be issued ~06 Jan 2020 with an ~Apr 2020 performance start.
