The intent of this contract is to secure services for ground, broadcast spray application of herbicides. The specified treatment will be the foliar application of herbicide mixtures from backpack sprayers to target vegetation using a shielded directed spray technique. The goal of this contract is to control woody shrubs, grasses and forbs, to provide a suitable environment for the survival and growth of planted conifers. There are several units ranging from approximately from 2,417 Acres in three units ranging from 665 acres to 887 acres.


Location: The project is located on the Eldorado National Forest, Amador Ranger District.
Description: The area for herbicide treatment is within the 2004 Power Fire. Ground to be treated is comprised of grass, forbs and small brush. Snags are scattered throughout unit and are located at a range from 4000' to 7000 ‘elevation.
The solicitation package will be uploaded when ready, approximately 27 February 2019. The date of award is expected to be within 5 days after the actual response date, which will be stated in the package and possibly changed in one or more amendments.
