The USDA Forest Service - Northern Research Station has potential need for architecture-engineering (A/E) services for the following project in fiscal year 2019 and requests that interested A/E's submit their SF-330 Part 1 to be considered. This is not a request for quotes.

Forestry Sciences Laboratory Hamden - Second Floor Remodel


Location: Hamden, Connecticut


Summary: Design the remodel of the second floor into a quarantine facility whose purpose will be: containment and colonization of arthropods, and biological control research of exotic pests.


The building was constructed in 1966. It is a 19,269 sf, three-story, reinforced concrete structure. The second floor is approximately 6,200 sf. The second floor is composed of: office space, chemistry wet labs, storage, utilities, restrooms, elevator, roof access and stairwells.


The quarantine lab shall meet the standards of USDA - APHIS containment facility guidelines.
