The USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Western Business Service Center, has a requirement at the U.S. Arid-Land Agricultural Research Center in Maricopa, AZ for a two (2) part project:

Part I: Perform upgrades and repairs to the fire protection system fire pump.


Part II: Remove and replace two (2) 15HP domestic water booster pumps/motors with all associated piping and fittings located at the ALARC laboratory in Maricopa, Arizona.


A qualified Contractor is sought to furnish all tools, equipment, material, permits, labor, and supervision necessary to accomplish the work in accordance with the attached Statement of Work.


ARS is issuing solicitation #AG-32SD-S-17-0053 and intends to award a firm, fixed-price contract. The solicitation is hereby issued as a request for proposal (RFP). This project is set-aside 100% for Small Business. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning Contractors.


The magnitude of this construction project is between $25,000 and $100,000. A size standard of $15 million applies.


The performance time is 30 calendar days.


A site visit is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED will be held on July 18, 2017 at 9:00 am, MST at the performance site. Please send notice of intent to attend by no later than 24 hours prior to harry.gardner@ars.usda.gov. Please also cc: kelli.lightfoot@ars.usda.gov.


The complete solicitation package, including related documents and diagrams and any necessary amendments, will be available in its entirety on www.fbo.gov. It is the offeror's responsibility to register at http://www.fbo.gov. It is recommended that offerors re-visit the FBO website periodically to check for modifications to this notice, updates, or amendments, which may be posted without further notification from ARS. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining ALL solicitation documents and should acknowledge any amendments in their proposal. Prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications and shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at http://www.sam.gov. No paper solicitation will be made available.
