Amendment 0002 to FAACO announcement 693KA8-18-R-00007 is hereby issued.

The purpose of the ETR contract is to provide emergency air/ground communication capability for air traffic control (ATC) operations during catastrophic failure of the normal radio communication system. Communication failure might be experienced during loss of ATC facility power, or the failure of the inter/intra facility connectivity to the air/ground radio communications equipment. ETR also provides
emergency radio communication when a facility must be abandoned, e.g., in the event of facility fire, bomb threat, or severe weather. The ETR provides the air/ground communication capability during the first critical 60 minutes after these events occur. The ETR will replace the existing grab-n-go Transceiver Communications Equipment (TCEs) at all Air Traffic Control Towers (ATCTs), Terminal
Radar Approach Control (TRACON), and Alaskan Flight Service Stations.

Scope
The ETR contract scope encompasses all necessary equipment, software, documentation, and services required to replace existing emergency transceivers. Services include warranty and repair, contract and program management, configuration management, integrated logistics support, bar code and asset tracking, support of Government testing activities, development of maintenance/operator training, support of Government spares provisioning and maintenance program and other required services necessary for the implementation, maintenance, and operation of the emergency transceivers.
