This synopsis is to notify interested manufacturers that NSN 2840-01-276-9822 will be added to Pratt & Whitney long term contract SPE4AX-13-D-9424. 2014-15 BEQ 57ea. This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Pratt & Whitney is the only known source. Existing unique Design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified sources(s) require acquisition of the part from the Approved sources(s). An alternate source must qualify in accordance With the design control activity's procedures, as approved by the Cognizant government engineering activity. Per the contract terms and conditions, this item will be removed if another source is determined to be qualified.
Based on market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
