The Government of Sri Lanka (GOSL) has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of the e-Sri Lanka Development Project. The Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) is the implementing organization for the Project. As an important component of the e-Sri Lanka initiative, it is envisioned that practically all the eServices and electronic information in Sri Lanka will be delivered via a comprehensive integration platform and portal, known as 'Lanka Gate'. ICTA intends to apply part of the proceeds to the Country Portal project which is one of the initial projects that would be included to compose Lanka Gate.

The Country Portal serves as a primary interface that connects users to the eServices provided within the Lanka Gate concept. Thus the Country Portal is a fundamental access point for citizens, noncitizens, businesses, agents and government employees to various government organizations and businesses in Sri Lanka. The Country Portal features multiple service delivery channels (web, mobile, etc.,) to accommodate various end user realities

Selected Software Service Providers will be responsible for implementing the Country Portal under the guidance of the technology team at ICTA. The implementation will be continuously reviewed by an ICTA appointed group of software architecture/technology experts.

ICTA now invites Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from eligible Software Service Providers to take up this project. EOIs must include the requested information as specified in the EOI Information included in the Scope of Services. Please refer the Scope of Services, Lanka Gate Initiative Architecture Overview and EOI Information form documents now available at ICTA for further information. Interested parties may download above documents from the website www.icta.lk
