Explosive Storage Magazine
The City is looking to purchase an Explosive Storage Magazine. It must meet the specifications below.
1.ATF Type 2 Class ABC outdoor explosive storage magazine
a. Overall minimum exterior dimensions of 60" wide x 60" long x 60" high b. Minimum steel thickness of 14" plate c. Interior lining of 3" of hardwood on all six surfaces d. White all-weather exterior finish
e. Minimum 48" wide entrance door with two 14" steel hooded lock hasps f. Bottom skids/beams to raise magazine off of ground g. Passive/gravity airflow ventilation with steel hoods h. Crane lifting lugs
2. ATF Type 2 Class ABC outdoor cap/detonator storage box (attached to magazine or bottom skids/beams) a.Overall minimum exterior dimensions of 30" wide x 30" high b. Minimum steel thickness of 14" plate
c. Interior lining of 3" of hardwood on all six surfaces d. White all-weather exterior finish e. Single entrance door with two 14" steel hooded lock hasps
3.Static grounding system
a. Minimum of two (2) NFPA 70-compliant exterior grounding rods
4.Base anchoring system
a. Minimum of four (4) anchor brackets b. Minimum of 6" anchoring bolts
5.ATF approved padlocks
a. Four (4) like-keyed padlocks b. Minimum of 7/16" hardened shackles
