The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is seeking a highly qualified executive search firm to assist in the search and evaluation process to select a Park and Recreation Board Superintendent.
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board has been in existence since 1883. It is widely considered a premiere park and recreation system in the country. It is an independently elected board responsible for governing, maintaining and developing the Minneapolis park system. The board is made up of nine commissioners. The organization has an annual budget of nearly $60 million. There are 498 fulltime employees and approximately 1,200 seasonal employees who provide services to operate, maintain, and enhance the system. This is an urban system serving a vibrant and culturally diverse city.
