Event planner challenges and opportunities
The Orillia Festivals Committee invites proposals from qualified consultants with knowledge of festival and event planning, to gather information related to the common needs and challenges of Orillia event planners; identify and articulate specific issues; and recommend opportunities to address the identified issues. We also require a set of best practices and a governance model outlining a framework for OFC to achieve its mandate of increasing coordination, seeking opportunities for resource sharing and furthering the ability of festivals and events to contribute to the social and economic health of the community. Experience in strategic planning, policy development, public consultation, marketing and tourism planning would also be an asset.
