Eval and Repair Radar Signal Sims.
Description: The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) has been tasked to provide repair services in support of the Radar Signal Simulator (PN: 01-497-7780) from Harris Corporation (Exelis Inc.). Repair services are to include inspection, calibration, labor and materials necessary to restore parts associated with the Radar Signal Simulator to operational condition to ensure Fleet readiness.
This effort will be Firm Fixed Price. The Government intends to solicit this requirement on a sole source basis with Harris Corp., of Fort Wayne, IN, under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. According to the FRC Solomons Configuration Management Group, Harris Corp. is the only vendor that will meet operational and reliability requirements as well as have the capability to fully integrate with the Radar Signal Simulator.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of the synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition, based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement.
