Environmental Impact Statement and Related Studies
The Department is seeking expressions of interest from consulting engineering/environmental firms who wish to be considered to provide professional services for completion of an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and supporting studies to satisfy the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The proposed project is the consideration of improvements to the Interstate 64 – Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel Corridor from Interstate 664 in Hampton to Interstate 564 in Norfolk. Preliminary engineering will be required only to a level that is necessary to support NEPA analysis.
