Enterprise Data Warehouse Solution

The successful vendor must be able to provide APS with an Enterprise Data Warehouse along with
accompanying services to fully accomplish the scope of work as described in this document. The offeror
will design and deliver an Enterprise Data Warehouse solution designed for K-12 education. The data
model must be robust enough to include data across the Enterprise from classroom to back-office to field
operations and be designed to optimize performance on a platform with extremely complex Business
Intelligence and data intensive reporting capabilities.
The primary role of the Data Warehouse will be to correlate teacher effectiveness with student outcomes.
To this end, teacher data will need to be normalized across the district to establish a baseline of
effective attributes and then compared/contrasted to a variety of student performance indicators.
Attributes may include, but are not limited to, the correlation between evaluation data; teacher
observations; professional development; tenure; certifications; free/reduced lunch programs; etc. all
related to the impact on student achievement. Secondarily, the warehousing of data across source systems
should provide a framework of sophisticated reporting and analytical capabilities to enhance data driven
decision making for the Public Schools.
