Engineering - Term Consultants
The Dormitory Authority State of New York (DASNY) intends to contract with firms to provide Engineering Services for various DASNY clients throughout New York State. It is DASNYs intent to enter into term consulting contracts with a number of firms statewide. The prime consultant should have expertise in one or more of the areas: civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, with a minor requirement of environmental and site engineering. Architectural services may be provided through a proposed subconsultant. The majority of the projects will be designed and constructed to meet LEED for New Construction and Major Renovations v2.2, Silver Certification and will include many sustainable construction features. A percentage of the assignments of this contract(s) is anticipated to be for "urgent" projects that require expedited design schedules.
The firm may be required to provide hazardous material investigation and design services for the remediation/removal of such materials as part of the work of this contract. These services may be provided by a subconsultant. The type and dollar amount of individual projects will vary however; construction estimates for the individual projects undertaken under these contracts will not exceed ten million dollars. There will be a total contract limit of two million dollars applied to each contract.
