REQUEST FOR INFORMATION

EQUIPMENT FOR THE NEW ENGINEER/WAREHOUSE BUILDING, VAMC, JEFFERSON BARRACKS DIVISION, ST. LOUIS, MO

Description

The St. Louis VAMC in support of the Jefferson Barracks Major Projects is seeking information to determine availability of vendors who offer forklift equipment for the new Engineer/Warehouse at the VA Jefferson Barracks Campus.

This is a request for information only. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes; it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Quotation (RFQ) or a promise to issue in RFQ/RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the VA is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Interested Contractors are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party s expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP/RFQ, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website or the GSA eBuy website. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this requirement.

Background

The St. Louis VAMC is seeking forklifts for the recently constructed Engineering Warehouse Building at the Jefferson Barracks Campus.

Requested Information

What manufacturers/authorized dealers can provide all the equipment listed?
Are manufacturers/authorized dealers a current GSA schedule holder; if so, identify GS Schedule and expiration date.
What is the socio-economic status of the proposed vendors?

B. Additional Requirements:
New and Unused: All goods shall be new, unused, produced from current production components, and shall be delivered ready for use.
Shipping: All shipping and handling charges shall be paid by the contractor.
Performance of Work on Government Premises: Current rules and regulations applicable to the premises where the work will be performed shall apply to the contractor and its employees while working on the premised. These regulations include but are not limited to: presenting valid identification for entrance, smoking restriction and any safety procedures as outlined in the site regulations.
The contractor must arrange delivery to the Engineering Warehouse with the VA point of contact within 30 (thirty) days of contract award.
