Engineering Design of Mud Pit Cap Repair at the Amchitka, Alaska, Site
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The major tasks are:
1. Repair on-site access roads to support site investigations,
2. Conduct a subsurface site investigation and site topographical survey,
3. Prepare the engineering plans and specifications for the corrective action:
a. Construction of the cap repairs
b. Construction of new Site E and Site F repository
c. Road repairs to support current investigation and future construction
d. Runway repairs to support future construction (if required)
4. Provide engineering support during the construction solicitation process,
5. Provide engineering support during construction,
6. Prepare as-built record drawings and specifications when construction is complete.
