Engine Fuel Display (EFD) DMSRB
The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a fixed-price, sole source modification to the Boeing Company to address F/A-18E and EA-18G Engine Fuel Display (EFD) obsolescence concerns, under contract number N00019-14-C-0032. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 USC 2304 (C) (1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." Boeing is the designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the F/A-18 aircraft in its various configurations; and as such, is the only known firm with the knowledge, experience, and technical expertise required to accomplish this effort.
