THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION/SOURCES SOUGHT for market research purposes to identify interested vendors for the potential requirement detailed below. A formal solicitation and statement of work are not available. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. Additionally, in accordance with FAR 19.5, Set-Asides for Small Business, the Government will review the information requested in this announcement to determine the type of set-aside (if any) for this requirement, should it come to fruition.

The Department of the Interior (DOI), Interior Business Center, AQD, on behalf the DOI - Office of Aviation Services, Alaska Regional Office, Anchorage, AK, requires OEM New or Factory rebuilt piston engines for fixed-wing aircraft.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336412 Aircraft Engine and Engine Parts Manufacturing and the size standard is 1500 employees.

Description of Requirement:

The Office of Aviation Services requires a manufacturer or a factory authorized distributer for new or factory rebuilt reciprocating (piston) aircraft engines. Engine core swaps are envisioned and will be handled by any potential vendor. Engines will be needed for the following aircraft:

Cessna U206F, U206G, 206H, T206G
Cessna 182R&P, 182RG, 185F
Cubcrafters CC-18
Found Bush Hawk
Partenavia P68 & P68TC series
Piper PA-18
Husky A-1B

**All engines must be swapped in accordance with the FAA certification of individual aircraft and will be requested as such in any future contract.

Specific engine makes and model are not being requested with this notice, only information regarding the ability to provide engines is needed at this time.

All business concerns who believe they can responsibly perform this requirement should submit the following information to the contract specialist no later than 1600 EST Wednesday, November 29, 2017:

1.    Capability statement describing corporate expertise and technical qualifications in the work described above. Please provide all makes of engines respondent is authorized to distribute.
2.    Past performance information describing other contracts for similar services your company has been awarded. Past performance information should be submitted for performance within the last three years and include: location, whether the work was as a prime or subcontractor, contract/subcontract dollar value, type of contract, and overall performance rating received.




3.    Small business status of vendor (8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, etc.)
4.    Point of contact information for vendor, cage code, and D&B Number.
5.    Any other information that will prove the vendor is capable of performing the required effort.

NOTE: All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary - the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. Materials submitted to the Government for review will not be returned. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. This is not a request for proposals. The Government will not award a contract based on responses received under this announcement.
