Energy Efficient Appliances Rebate Program
The Bureau is issuing this Request for
Proposal for the purpose of selecting a qualified contractor to provide software, product eligibility,
vendor verification, training and support, call center operations, rebate and product validation and payment, fraud
monitoring and data collection and reporting.
The contractor will be working with appliance retailers, heating and cooling companies and
consumers in Nebraska.
The bidder must meet the following requirements:
1. Minimum of five (5) years experience in providing product rebate fulfillment.
2. Experience in operating a toll-free consumer information service.
3. Experience in compiling list of eligible Energy Star appliances and energy using
systems.
4. Experience in providing support services to sellers (retailers and heating, cooling and
ventilation companies and contractors).
5. Experience in designing web-based software systems that can gather real-time data
and convert it to usable information.
6. Experience in fraud detection in fulfillment operations.
7. Experience in validating rebate claim submissions.
8. Experience in providing cash payments to consumers.
9. Detailed knowledge of the requirements of the U.S. Department of Energys State
Energy Efficiency Appliance Rebate program
