The Social Security Administration (SSA) has a requirement to offer computer-based AT training to all Employees with Disabilities (EWD) who use AT in their jobs. The SSAbs goal is to provide EWD with optimal accessibility to the various facets of their work environment, in order to maximize their overall job productivity and potential for career advancement. To meet this goal, the SSA must employ the services of a contractor who can provide expert instruction in the use of the computer-based AT that the SSA provides to its employees.

It is the agencybs intent to procure this requirement utilizing the procedures in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items in conjunction with FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. The Northern American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 611420. The size standard is $11M. SSA anticipates awarding one (1) Requirements type contract for this effort. The period of performance shall be for one year, with four 1-year option periods. This procurement is set aside exclusively for small businesses. It is anticipated that the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about November 17, 2017. The selection decision will be based on overall best value to the Government, price and non-price factors considered. The RFP will be issued under solicitation 28321318R00000010. The solicitation and any related documents will be made available to interested parties through electronic media for downloading via FEDCONNECT. No hard copies of the solicitation will be available. Potential offerors shall be responsible for monitoring the internet site for release of the solicitation and any amendments
