Emergency Medical Services Medical Advisor
Department of Health Office of Public Health Preparedness and Emergency Medical Services (OPHP-EMS) seeks to develop a contract for the professional services of a Vermont licensed physician, Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, as EMS Medical Advisor. The OPHP-EMS is seeking proposals from qualified individuals or their primary employers for a contract from the period approximately November 1, 2010 through June 30, 2012 (with the possibility of two renewal years), for approximately 520 hours per 12 month fiscal year to provide services to the OPHP-EMS, Department of Health for medical issues related to Vermont’s system of EMS and related public health preparedness. Most work is to be provided on site at the OPHP-EMS offices located at 108 Cherry St., Burlington, VT 05402. Some travel may be required. Scheduling is flexible but the EMS medical advisor must be routinely available to the EMS Chief for time sensitive consultations. Participation in some specific events (meetings, training, exercises, conferences, etc.) is required with advanced notice.
