Elliot Lake Industrial Lands Study Environmental Impact Study
The City of Elliot Lake is seeking qualified consultants to undertake a Environmental
Impact Assessment of the existing North Industrial Area including surrounding municipal
properties and the proposed industrial site located along Pearson & Esten Roads.
The primary objectives of the environmental impact assessment in these areas are:
To determine environmental, cultural, geographical and other issues that will
assist in determining constraints and opportunities for future land use options in
the North Industrial and adjacent areas; and
To determine the impact of proposed industrial lands along Pearson & Esten
Road.
Through the review, it is anticipated that additional or alternate areas may also be
identified as potential industrial sites. No site assessments are anticipated for these
areas at this time, but may be added as a separate component of the study, should
such areas be identified.
