Elevator Modernization
The General Services Administration is seeking sources capable to perform all work related for the removal of existing elevator equipment and installation of new equipment to provide two (2) geared passenger elevators and one (1) geared service elevator at the Historic Courthouse Building located at 511 East San Antonio Rd, El Paso, Texas.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 333921, Elevator and Moving Stairway Manufacturing, the size standard is 500 Employees. The magnitude of this construction project, in accordance with FAR 36.204, is estimated to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required following the contract award, pursuant to the Miller Act. A bid guarantee shall also be required from the winning contractor.
This procurement is 100% set-aside for Small Business concerns. All offers from other than Small Business concerns will not be considered.
The required construction completion time frame is 10 calendar days, beginning one day after the notice to proceed (NTP) is issued by the GSA Contracting Officer.
A Pre-Proposal Conference is scheduled for Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 9:00 am MST at the Historic Courthouse Building located at 511 East San Antonio Rd, El Paso, Texas. Contractors are encouraged to attend the pre proposal walk-through and to verify all existing conditions at the job site prior to bidding on project. Failure to do so will not relieve contractor of his/her responsibility to properly estimate the cost of this project. This is the only opportunity contractors will get to visit the site to conduct a walk-through and ask questions. GSA will not have anyone available to accompany contractors or their representatives (sub-contractors) after the scheduled pre-bid walk-through.
