Note this is an extended due date.
Vendors are invited to submit proposals for an Electronic Inbound Messaging Services for the Department to be installed at various locations throughout the State. This system will provide the
Department with an ability to receive/accept electronic inbound messaging services to
incarcerated inmate population originating from non-incarcerated individuals (only) through the web, and to include the
capability for senders to attach photos and other documents. The Department
shall not be responsible for ANY costs of the selected messaging system to include but not be limited to hardware,
software, installation, maintenance, support, training, and marketing.
The electronic inbound messaging system will allow the Department to:
1. Significantly reduce the amount of physical mail handled by the department and contribute to the reduction of
operational costs associated with inmate mail services and staffing needs.
2. Provide a cost effective resource to assist our agency with reducing the amount of contraband entering
a correctional facility by assisting with promoting the use of electronic inbound messaging services for contacting
inmates rather than the use of regular postal services and physical, hard copy inbound mail.
