Electronic Data Interchange
Purpose
The State is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to obtain competitive proposals from qualified vendors to host and provide standardized electronic data interchange (EDI) services between the Department and the respective entities that are required to submit Workers Compensation injury reports and other information by serving as an Application Services Provider (ASP) and shall host the Workers Compensation Injury Reporting System EDI software program on its own servers within its own facilities.
Vendor shall serve as an ASP and shall host the Workers Compensation Injury Reporting System software program on its own servers within its own facilities. Vendor shall provide software to view daily EDI transactions. The Department will access the information via the Internet, or other Wide Area Network (WAN) services. Vendor shall routinely upgrade and maintain the software programs necessary to provide services under this contract.
For entities that are required to submit information and will be converting to submitting such information via the hosted application services, Vendor shall perform backup and restore of data from such entities systems to Vendors hosted environment. For such entities, set-up services may include history conversion and application specific interface and EDI creation as agreed. Vendors hosting services shall include the development or implementation of an conversion/migration of previously submitted EDI transactions, but not custom EDI creation or software for the Department to use on its own servers. These services are available for an additional fee on a time and materials basis.
