The Purpose of this synopsis is to locate sources interested in becoming approved sources of supply for the following Item:
Electron Tube, purchased in accordance with currently approved source Exelis Inc. cage 24930 P/N 190991-1.
Firm fixed contract is anticipated for a quantity of 2 each for customer direct shipment. Price breaks of 3 and 4 each may be included in the upcoming solicitation to cover any additional customer requirements.
Adequate data for competitive distribution is not available . Sources who are interested in becoming an approved source will be required to submit appropriate data per the requirements of DLAD 52.217-9002, Conditions for Evaluations and Acceptance of Offers for Part numbered Items. This item is not considered commercial under the FAR 2.101 definition, however, if a commercial equivalent is available, please advise. ESA approval is required for evaluation of commercial equivalents as well in order to assure all required functions of the headset are provided.
Interested parties should send letter of interest to the contracting officer, Ruth A Smith via email at ruth.smith.dla.mil by July 9, 2014. The response should include cage code; product line; quality certifications; company size; customer base and appropriate POC information. The company will then be placed on the bidders list so that notification can be sent when the solicitation is available.
