Electro Magnetic Library Antitheft Security System purchase and installation
Initial research by the City library staff has indicated that products that eliminate or
reduce collection shrinkage through theft is a basic need in the new City Library. To
that end, it has been suggested that an electromagnetic detection system be deployed.
Such a system typically consists of the following components:
a.) electromagnetic sensor panels positioned at the exits of the facility, b.) detection
strips embedded or affixed to the collection pieces and, as appropriate, c.) a device
that can sensitize and de-sensitize the embedded detection devices.
