This solicitation will be a Small Business Set-Aside procurement. Any resulting contract will be time and materials. The solicitation for this project will be available by INTERNET ACCESS ONLY and will be available for download on or about 03/26/2018. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The electrical and mechanical systems at the Chena River Lakes Flood Control Project require inspection, maintenance, repair and minor new work on a scheduled and emergency basis. Work may be performed throughout the project area to include the Project Office which is located at 3800 Laurance Road, Volunteer Host sites, and the Outlet Works Water Control Site. Chena River Lakes Flood Control Project lands are located approximately 18 miles east of Fairbanks, Alaska, near the community of North Pole. The Project Office is a commercial building renovated in 2010 with modern electrical, heating, ventilation, air handling (HVAC), solar and water systems. As-built drawings of these systems are available at the project office.  Electrical work also includes work on the Chena Project primary high voltage electrical distribution system which includes both underground and overhead lines.


This project is contingent on availability of funds. If the project is cancelled, all proposal preparation costs will be borne by the offeror. All offerors are advised that they must be registered in SAM (https://staging.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/) in order to receive an award. Joint ventures must also be registered in SAM as a joint venture. USACE advises offerors to begin this process when they prepare their proposal in order to ensure registration is in place should they be selected for award.


Contractor shall comply with commercial and industry standards, and all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations and procedures.


The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code of 238210, which has a size standard of $15 million for a potential acquisition.
