Electrical ROW Tree Cutting, Trimming, and Removal

The Western Area Power Administration (Western), Upper Great Plains Region has identified the need for removal and trimming of a number of large trees (including some in excess of 40 inches in diameter and 70 feet in height) along electrical transmission line right-of-ways in order to provide adequate line clearance and access to the transmission line. The contractor will be required to perform tree trimming and felling functions as needed at any location along the Upper Great Plains Regional Offices transmission line rights-of-way in North Dakota, Montana, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, and Nebraska. (See PWS for Details) In addition, Western has a requirement for Bare Ground Weed Spraying Services in our Substations and Communication Sites (see PWS for Details).

Provide information regarding your company's ability to perform Electrical Right of Way Tree Cutting, Trimming, and Removal and or Bare Ground Weed Spraying in accordance with the attached PWS documents. The information should, at a minimum, include background, past performance, and capabilities to provide the requested services in the Midwest. This information will be used to determine our approach to acquire these services using one or multiple awards for the services described in each of PWS documents.

The information in the draft PWS's can be changed by the government pending any innovative approaches vendors offer in response to this sources sought notice.
